-More than a Writer-
Storytellers are more than writers.
We are:
World-builders
Economists
Sociologists
Psychologists
Historians
Theologians
These inform what story we tell. Then we learn how to tell it.
-Best of the Best-
I have been trained in the screenwriting techniques of Story Grandmaster Robert McKee. His instruction manual, “Story,” is never far away. This book forms the foundation upon which my writing process is built.
Other notable influences in my writing career are Terry Rossio, John Truby, and Todd Lockwood.
Red Beats mean the Hero is taken farther from his desire. Considered a “Down Beat” (though not visually represented here.)
-Process at Work-
A sample of my work (right) shows the beat by beat outline of the first seven minutes of a feature film I have written called “Blue Side of the Mountain.”
Blue Beats mean the Hero is brought closer to his desire. Considered an “Up Beat”(though not visually represented here.)
The fluctuation between “Up Beats” and “Down Beats” is how storytellers create tension.

‘Attack of the Meth Gator’ is a direct-to-television feature film produced by Mini Nation Productions and funded by distribution studio Film Asylum (of ‘Sharknado’ and ‘King Boa’ fame.)
I was tasked with Designing and Dressing six major sets and managing Properties on-the-day. The sets were:
Super Meth Lab
Redneck Meth Lab
Retired Desert Shield Marine’s Bar
Run Down Motel Room
Memorial Day Celebration at Town Park
Corrupt Mayor’s Office
The Props that were managed on the day were mostly mock-weapons, therefore they required to be treated as real firearms with safety briefings each day and safety checks before every scene.

‘Birthright: Outlaw’ is an Affirm Original feature film produced by Burns & Co. and funded by distribution studio Sony Affirm (the faith-based arm of Sony Entertainment.)
I was tasked with Dressing the Outlaw Camp which entailed coordinating with reenactment troupes to get small tents and camp utensils and building the two main villain tents from Home Depot drop cloths. I was given concept sketches on which to base my designs off.
